Restoration Process and Information

I decided these 2 John Henderson oil paintings have potential historical and collector value and should be professionally restored.

This page will document what I learned about this amazing process -

To begin, I want to thank and highly recommend Mr. Chris Trimble:

IRON HAWK
This was the oil painting BEFORE restoration.
The varnish had yellowed and there were chips and scratches
in various areas of the piece.

IRON HAWK
This was the oil painting CLEANED without Touch-Up Repairs
The varnish was removed 1x1 square inch at a time.   The brush &
paint textures were carefully protected & colors revealed here.

IRON HAWK
This was the oil painting AFTER COMPLETED restoration.
Chips & scratches were repaired and a final coat of a
3rd generation varnish formula added to protect it.
